Provided functional safety support for a new used motor oil (UMO) recycling facility, including closure of PHA and LOPA recommendations. Performed SIL verification calculations for the Safety Instrumented System (SIS) once the interlock conceptual designs were defined. Followed up with documentation of the Safety Requirements Specification (SRS). Worked with operations to define cause-and-effect requirements and supported the engineering team with SIS hardware design and control panel fabrication to ensure the safety functions were correctly implemented.
